Artificial Intelligence is bridging the gap between humans and machines. When Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein in 1818, it is based on the notion that we as humans would ultimately reject artificial intelligence as we’ll find it unusual and bizarre. However, after two centuries, A.I. doesn’t seem to far-fetched of a concept as human lives are assisted with early smart technological companions like the Amazon Echo or Google Home.

Fiction offers us a window onto the wider world while broadening our perspective, and the visions, expectations and fears that we associate with the concept of artificial intelligence has been repeatedly tested by filmmakers.

ACT IV is a film festival that celebrates that notion. We are delighted to present you various movies, short films and documentaries that explore the possibilities of Artificial Intelligence.
